FamilySearch wiki for Wicomico, Maryland says “Wicomico County was created 5 October 1867.” Further down the page states Wicomico, Maryland was created August 17, 1867 from Somerset and Worcester Counties. 

Well, that is a doozey if you are trying to prove or disprove evidence? Why try to associate contemporary place names with old ones. Don’t get it. Is it because the researcher is trying to hide evidence that cannot be proved or disproved.

Parker Truitt of Jefferson Township, Adams, Ohio

No reliable research exists for Parker Truitt. Future research seeks to remedy this problem and contribute new information to the knowledge pool. Registration of births, deaths and marriages were not compulsory during Parker Truitt’s lifetime. No known church or Bible record names Parker’s parents, his spouse or descendants. Parker penned his last will and testament before July 1844 when the Court granted Samuel S Mason, letters testamentary. The records that would have been created in the administration of Parker’s estate, showing his legal heirs and representatives, do not appear to have survived the courthouse fire of 1910. According to an inscription on the headstone for Parker Truitt in Copas Cemetery, Blue Creek, Adams, Ohio, he died on 7 June 1844 in the 81st year of his age. The headstone for his wife Rhoda shows she predeceased him by sixteen years, age sixty-five.
